3. How to add a blog.

You need to have followed our Lesson 1 and 2 before using this Lesson.

  • First log in as a Editor or above.
  • On the left side of the Manager page, find the "Blogs" link (18) under the "Communication Options" tab
  • Right-click on the word "Blogs" and then choose "Create Resource Here"
  • A new page shows on the main part of your page with spaces for Title, Long Title etc. Fill in as much as you like - there are more instructions on what each field is if you hover your mouse over the little comment image at the side.

  • Choose a template and whether or not to show it in the menu.
  • "Resource Content" is where you will write your blog.

    Before you start here, find the field right under this called "Editor to Use". Is it set to "TinyMCE"? If not, please set it now. That way you can make sure you can format the look of your blog text without knowing html.

  • When you are finished, save and check your work.
